Your day is already in there
Choose your clinic, then your consult room, then the appointment. Whippet fills in the patient's name and hands the AI the breed, species, age, client name and appointment type so it isn't guessing. Both fields stay editable.
The note goes back on its own
When the consult finishes processing, Whippet writes the clinical note into the consult record for that appointment in Ascend. If Ascend already has a consultation for the appointment or for the day's visit, Whippet adds to that one rather than creating a second.
Edit in Whippet, and it re-syncs
Change the note later and Whippet sends it again automatically — there's no "resend" to remember. Whippet only ever touches the block it wrote; anything typed into the consult record by hand stays exactly where it is, and the consultation keeps its original date so the patient's chart doesn't re-order.
Each consult carries a live status: queued, syncing, synced with the time it landed, or failed. Failed syncs retry on their own.

Authorise Whippet Notes in Ascend
In Ascend, open App Drawer → Configuration → Third Party Integrations, find Whippet Notes and choose Authorise Integration. Ascend then shows your alias, clinic code and stock location.

Open Settings → Integrations
In Whippet, go to Settings → Integrations → Ascend (Covetrus). Anyone in the practice can do this.

Paste the details and click Connect Ascend
Enter the alias, clinic code and stock location Ascend showed you, then click Connect Ascend. Whippet checks them straight away.

You'll see it on the recording screen
The clinic, room and appointment selectors appear by themselves. Nothing to install, no plugin, no change to how Ascend is set up.
There is no integration fee.
Ascend sync is included in Whippet Notes on every plan — free, individual and practice. It isn't an add-on, it isn't a levy per clinic, and it isn't the reason to move up a tier.
